This study at exploring the effect of teachers' experience, qualification and source of degree on the second secondary grade students' writing achievement in the north region of Palestine (Salfit, Qalquelia, Tulkarem, Nablus and Jenin). The study examined the following hypotheses: There is no significant difference at (a = 0.05) in students' writing achievement scores due to teachers' qualification.

To obtain such a goal, three topics were chosen from different tests in the General Secondary Examinations and addressed with a cover letter to a committee for determining the most appropriate one that suits student’s intellectual, educational and cultural levels.

The collected information was classified and categorised into clusters according to teachers experience, qualification and source of degree. The target population consisted of (99) teachers who teach English language to the second secondary classes at the year (1996/1997). Twenty eight of them where selected randomly as a sample, three of the envelopes were discovered to be copied so they were dropped from the sample because they did nit fulfil the conditions of the study.
The results showed a poor writing performance by the students, the mean was (8.22) out of (20).

Findings of the study indicated no significant difference in students' writing achievements due to teachers' experience, to teachers' qualification in favour of those with a (B.A) and teachers' source of degree in favour of the Damascus and United States graduates.
