The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the teacher's interactive reading comprehension and on their attitudes toward reading. The study attempted to answer the following questions:

-Would the teacher's interactive reading aloud to ninth grade pupils lead to significant higher rate of comprehension than when they read silently on their own?
-Would the teacher's interactive reading aloud ninth grade pupils lead to significant difference between the boy's And girl's and their attitudes?

In an attempt to confirm or reject the hypotheses of this study, the researcher has conducted a (13) week experimental investigation with a sample of (105) ninth grade students from two secondary public schools in Jenin District (Qabatia West Secondary school for Girls and Maithaloun Secondary School for Boys). The students of the sample were randomly divided into treatment groups, an experimental group with (52) students (29 females and 23 males), and a control group with a total of (53) students (29 females and 24 males). This study showed the following results:

-Using the teacher's interactive reading aloud method did improve the pupils' achievement reading comprehension.
-There were no significant difference in achievement in reading comprehension as due to gender.

-Using the teacher's interactive reading aloud method didn't lead to significantly positive attitudes toward reading.

In the light of these results, it is recommended that teachers of English should become aware of the benefits of the teachers interactive reading aloud technique in teaching reading comprehension and develop positive attitudes toward reading.
